All building structures at airports – terminals, car rental facilities, hangars, towers, and parking structures are subjected to constant traffic, weather and natural elements, and corrosive jet and vehicle exhaust. As passenger volume increases so does the pressure on these aging systems, and the need to ensure they are built sustainably to maximize taxpayers’ investment. 

Hot-dip galvanized steel provides sustainable, maintenance-free longevity for airport building infrastructure while also maximizing capacities. Hot-dip galvanizing’s high strength-to-weight ratio minimizes substructure costs and allows for easier future expansion and maximizes floor space (for parking or gates) because you can span longer spaces without a vertical column, and the necessary columns are smaller.
